Tahinoto Sequence is a theater project consisting of short omnibus stories based on a fictional town “Tahinoto town”.
By using the techniques of an TRPG (Tabletop role-playing game), Tahinoto town has an enormous amount of background information and design built up in years mainly by Minami Nakai.
The town is full of cynical and strange features, such as all roads winding like a maze, “Christ Shrine” which has an entrance gate combined with a cross, “Severe hospital” which exams any kind of illness anyway, “Kanada airport” where half of the airplanes get lost, and “Kokuchu (Black noon)” which is a natural phenomenon which the sun suddenly disappears in the middle of the day. The work depicts a normal life in this town, which is somewhat funny and melancholic. The stage design is restricted to the minimum objects and by projecting animations on them, the landscape of the town lively appears.
First performance was in summer of 2015, and in 2017, the second performance was presented in a public hall, and gained a very good reputation.
